This course is designed to establish a solid foundation in wilderness self-reliance methods and techniques, from which the rest of your skill set can be built.

It also lays the groundwork for Scout Tactical Training Group’s other wilderness courses.

This class is a 2-day course that focuses on the first 72 hours of a wilderness emergency situation.

• Shelter methods
• Situational awareness
• Basic camp knots
• Maintaining core temperature
• Rescue signaling
• Intro to land navigation and practical exercises
