Meet Your Training Team

This course is offered by Tyler Miller.

Tyler Miller is a US Army Veteran, Fish and Wildlife Technician, and the founder of SquatchMed LLC. Tyler manages thousands of acres of rugged state land. He knows firsthand that our beautiful mountain geography and unpredictable weather, like heavy snows or sudden rains, can quickly isolate a community. Because the rural terrain can naturally delay emergency response times, knowing how to manage a medical situation locally is an invaluable skill for any Mountaineer.
Building upon his foundation as a Wilderness First Responder, Tyler holds advanced credentials as an Associate in Wilderness Medicine through a prestigious school of medicine university system. He earned this designation by mastering distinct certifications in Backpacking Medicine, Wilderness Travel and Tropical Medicine, and Search and Rescue (SAR). Through SquatchMed LLC, Tyler uses his experience to give outdoor enthusiasts and professionals the skills to manage medical emergencies when help is far away.
