Course Description
Overview
This fully in-person CPR/AED certification is open to the general public. No prior first aid training is required.
What You'll Learn
You'll learn and practice high-quality CPR compressions, AED use, and how to respond to choking emergencies in adults.
Includes
- Course completion card, valid for two years
Instructor's Note
This is a certificate class for hands-only CPR and stop the bleed for hikers.
Participants should have an interest in hiking and injuries centered around this type of activity.

Linda Botens is a certified NYS EMT for over 20 years, a training officer for EMS, a NYS PECC Coordinator, a CME Coordinator, an EMS Charts Administrator, a certified AHA CPR/AED/First Aid, an ACS and DOD Stop the Bleed instructor, an instructor for the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary for first aid and boat safety, and now a Survival Med Hybrid Wilderness First Aid Instructor.
