Course Description

Overview

This fully in-person Basic Life Support (BLS) class offers professional-level CPR & AED certification for EMS, firefighters, medical students, clinic and hospital providers.
It's also open to the general public. No prerequisites are required.

What You'll Learn

You'll learn and practice high-quality CPR compressions, AED use, and how to respond to choking emergencies for all ages.

Includes

  • Course completion card, valid for two years

Instructor's Note

This is the traditional Basic Life Support class. While enrollment is open to everyone, it is tailored towards medical personnel.
The course includes a two year certification from the American Heart Association.

This course is offered by Linda Botens.

Linda Botens is a certified NYS EMT for over 20 years, a training officer for EMS, a NYS PECC Coordinator, a CME Coordinator, an EMS Charts Administrator, a certified AHA CPR/AED/First Aid, an ACS and DOD Stop the Bleed instructor, an instructor for the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary for first aid and boat safety, and now a Survival Med Hybrid Wilderness First Aid Instructor.
