Overview
Learn how to handle medical emergencies when help is more than a quick call away.
Wilderness First Aid (WFA) is the industry standard 16-hour certification for everyone who plays, works, lives or travels in remote, backcountry or rural settings where 911 or EMS aren't immediately available.
This hybrid course meets the requirements for Philmont and other Scouting America high-adventure bases, NICA, the National Park Service, American Camp Association and many others.

Jenny brings a passion for education and hands-on experience that fits perfectly with our mission. With a strong background in training and a deep interest in Wilderness First Aid, she is dedicated to equipping others with the lifesaving skills they need in both everyday and outdoor emergency situations.
She is a certified instructor through the American Heart Association (AHA) and Health & Safety Institute (HSI), teaching CPR, AED, and First Aid courses, as well as HSI Basic Life Support (BLS) and Wilderness First Aid (WFA). Jenny’s teaching approach emphasizes confidence-building through realistic scenarios and practical skill application, ensuring every student leaves prepared to respond when it matters most.
Her outdoor background and enthusiasm for wilderness medicine bring an engaging, real-world perspective to each class, helping students connect knowledge with experience in meaningful ways.
