Meet Your Training Team
This course is offered by Rex Nielsen.
Rex Nielsen is a licensed NREMT-P and a Remote Paramedic, currently working in Alaska under contract for oil and gas. He has over thirty years of experience as both a volunteer and paid firefighter / EMS responder.
Raised in southeast Alaska, Rex spent a short time in the US NAVY, where he discovered his passion for travel. Afterwards, he spent the next several decades working in various remote locations across the Northern Hemisphere. Rex is passionate about sharing his EMS knowledge with everyone, from city to rural locations – including remote environments from the wildland fires, mineral and gas exploration.
He is Wildland Fire line certified, Bear Guard, and FAA Weather observer. He is a certified EMS instructor in both Alaska and Idaho, and he also teaches BLS, First Aid, and Wilderness courses.
